This website displays the remarkable diaries which Edith Elizabeth Appleton wrote
while nursing in Northern France from 1914 to 1919.

Edie's Diaries are to be published as a hardback and an eBook
by Simon and Schuster and the Imperial War Museum in March 2012.

Extracts from Edie's diaries were read on BBC Radio 4 at 3.30pm on 10, 11 and 12 November 2009.
The three broadcasts were repeated on Sundays 26 June, 3 and 10 July 2011.
